ENERGY SAVINGS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Income-qualified PG&E customers living within most areas of Kern County may qualify for the ENERGY SAVINGS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM to receive energy efficient upgrades for their home at no-cost.
Renters and Home Owners can apply.
We are currently enrolling residents from Bakersfield, Arvin, MacFarland, Wasco, Shafter, Saco, and other neighboring communities.
HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?
We will assess your home’s energy efficiency.
We will install customized energy saving home improvements.
REPAIR or REPLACE
We will repair or replace appliances, if needed, after conducting a natural gas safety test.
We will perform a post-installation inspection, if needed.
RENTERS AND HOME OWNERS ARE ELIGIBLE
If you live in a house, apartment, or mobile home that is five years or older, you could receive free improvements to keep your home more energy efficient, safe and comfortable. Both renters and owners are eligible.
Paying your energy bill each month often can be a challenge. One way to help conserve energy and make your home more energy efficient is with the Energy Savings Assistance Program, which offers no-cost energy-saving home improvement services.

Blown-in Attic Insulation
Weatherstripping on Doors
Repair or Replace Furnace*
Repair or Replace Water Heater*
*Requires approval from residence owner. Furnace and water heater repair or replacement may be available to eligible homeowners when it’s determined that existing natural gas units are inoperative or unsafe.
